Cecilia Castellano firmly believes that investing in our public schools is investing in our future. Her educational platform stands on five pillars: She is an ardent supporter of public schools, vowing to reject vouchers that undermine public education. She will strive to increase teacher pay and student allotment for all school districts. She will fight for significant school safety investments to foster safe learning environments in our schools. Cecilia is also dedicated to ensuring that educational opportunities for disabled and special needs students are expanded and enriched. She aims to improve graduation rates and enhance access to technical trades and pathways to military careers, empowering the next generation with diverse opportunities.
HEALTHCARE ACCESS AND AFFORDABILITY
Recognizing the pressing healthcare needs of rural Texans, Cecilia Castellano advocates for Medicaid expansion to provide essential healthcare services to those in need.
She is committed to safeguarding rural hospitals from closures and fostering access to quality healthcare for all. Addressing the shortage of doctors and nurses is a key aspect of her healthcare agenda
Cecilia is a staunch supporter of legislation that upholds patient rights and curtails excessive fees and charges for healthcare.
She will take a community collaboratives approach to address our challenges with mental health, homelessness, drug addiction, and teenage pregnancy, ensuring comprehensive care for every citizen.
EMPOWERING ECONOMIC GROWTH
Cecilia Castellano is President of AZTECA Designs & Construction. As a firm proponent of economic development, she pledges to bring jobs and prosperity to rural Texas. She envisions abundant small business opportunities through collaboration with the state government. By working together regionally, she aims to secure our community’s fair share of funding for broadband development, water infrastructure, and essential road, highway, and bridge projects.
Property tax relief is a cornerstone of her economic vision, providing homeowners and business owners with financial stability. She adamatly supports the bipartisan tax relief bill passed by the Texas Legislature and asks voters to approve this legislation in the upcoming November Constitutional Election.
Local control is essential to rural economies, Cecilia will opppose state power grabs that restrict the growth of our local businesses and limit job opportunities for our families.
STRONG FOUNDATION IN FAITH, FAMILY, AND COMMUNITY
Cecilia Castellano is a third-generation Texan from Atascosa County. Her personal values play an integral role in her public service. Her faith and family values motivate her to work tirelessly to improve the lives of working folks. As a dedicated member of New Life Christian Center since 2014, under the guidance of Pastors Dr. LaSalle R. Vaughn and Portia B. Vaughn, Cecilia derives inspiration from her faith to be a compassionate and effective leader. With two years of teaching and instruction of the Bible under her belt, she values knowledge and empathy as powerful tools for creating positive change.
Cecilia has been married to her husband Antonio Castellano for over 23 years, together with their two children, Anthony Castellano, married to Julia Castellano with whom he has three children (Aris, Anthony, and Adonai), and Noah Castellano, who is the youngest, foreground strong family values by emphasizing on their constant support and encouragement of one another.

TEXAS HOUSE DISTRICT 80
Democrat Tracy King has represented Texas House District 80 since 1994 and recently announced that he will not run for reelection. HD80 is a swing district located in rural South Texas. It is comprised of six counties (Atascosa County, Dimmit County, Frio County, Uvalde County, Webb County, Zavala County) and the population is 82% Hispanic, 15% Anglo, 1% Black, and 1% Asian.
Cecilia Castellano brings a fresh perspective, servant leadership, and a platform for progress to the residents of Texas House District 80. As she embarks on this journey, she invites the community to join her in shaping a brighter future for our district and the great state of Texas.
